We believe that every child and young person in Powys has a right to live in an environment which is safe and secure and to be treated with dignity and respect. All agencies within Powys which work with children and young people and their parents and carers are represented on the Powys Local Safeguarding Board (LSCB)

Child Protection Guide

This guide is for adults working with children and young people in Powys. It contains advice on what to do and who to contact if you are concerned about the welfare of a child.

Anti-Bullying Strategy

The Children and Young People's Partnership works closely with the LSCB to achieve, amongst other things, zero tolerance of bullying in Powys. A new anti-bullying strategy has been launched to lay out the steps that partners in Powys will take to stamp out bullying.

Two versions of the plan have been produced, one full version and one Young Person's Guide. You can download the young person's guide below. The adult version will be available for download here soon or contact us to request a copy.

Keeping Children Safe

Powys CYPP, in collboration with Powys LSCB, have produced a guide for parents and carers. This guide provides a checklist of questions to ask when your child is in contact with, or in the care of, other people. Download the guide below or contact us to request a copy.
